Adventure Guide Academy

 The Adventure Guide Academy is a 6-week introductory course to the outdoor adventure industry - run by Absolute Adventures, Jersey’s leading watersports centre.

The course focuses on helping you build a solid foundation in a number of adventure activities including kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering with the aim of helping you develop into well rounded waterman with increasing your confidence in multiple disciplines on the water.

In addition to improving your skills on the water, you’ll learn essential leadership skills including trip planning, navigation, risk assessing and safety briefing that will enable you to start your journey as a professional adventure guide.

Frequently asked questions

  • The 6 week course costs a total of £2625. This includes training sessions and certifications.

  • The course runs 4 days per week for 6 weeks with one day (normally Friday) being a free/ rest day. Over the weekends you’ll have the opportunity to take part in group adventures with the local paddling clubs.
